About the event
To play - nay, to shred - a stringed instrument is a hallowed art form, but the truest and highest level of this art is not in the music borne into existence by skill and time-honed perfection... it is the sheer majesty of how well you can rock out with no instrument at all. The Finns, in their wise and mystical ways, knew this to be true and have long upheld the grand traditions of Air Guitar.
With Juhannus celebrating the Copper Country's Finnish heritage and the confluence of the midsummer sun, Wolf's Head Film honors these traditions in our own way. Movies, might, and magic collide June 20th, 2026, in the inaugural Michigan Air Guitar Exhibition.
Free screening of "Heavy Trip" (a Finnish heavy metal comedy) at 7 PM. Air Guitar Competition at 9 PM.
